Clearwater/Tampa charters...any suggestions?

Hi. I'm from Minnesota and am going down to the Clearwater/Tampa area with a group of guys in mid May, and want to do some offshore saltwater fishing. This will be the first saltwater fishing for most of us so I'm looking for any suggestions out there. We're looking at probably a 4-6 hour charter, and I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions for who to go with. I've heard good things about "Daisy Mae" http://www.flcharterfish.com but was looking for some input from others who have had good expierences down there.
Also, what can we expect to be biting?

Thanks!!
Jim

Check into these guys. They have posted a few reports here.

If you want to try some bank or wading while you are there, Honeymoon Island State Park in Dunedin works well. Located a few miles north of Clearwater, it has an area with a deep channel off the south end that is good for sheepshead, sharks, and I've seen a guy reel in a Tarpon from that area. The west facing flats are good for snook, redfish, ladyfish, whiting, and more. Less than a ten minute walk from one area to the other, so it's easy to fish them both. Night passes are available, and you pretty much get the area to yourself then.

Great stop if you have a day to fish and are without a boat. PM me if you need more info. Charters, I have never used when I was there, but we used our own boat and fished the artificial reefs there, and rarely missed. They are just a few miles offshore, water around 35 feet, and were a favorite for us. Outstanding area for fishing and more! Have fun!
